November 11th witnessed a total over 35 billion RMB trade on T-mall on the single day, which generated over 167 million of parcels for delivery. This giant volume meant an incredibly difficult delivery task, and problems like delay were expected.

To address this issue, Alibaba launched its trump card – Cainiao Network earlier this year. It is said that by utilizing its own Big Data Application capabilities and sharing relative logistics information, Cainiao Network is capable of guiding online-shops to stock up for the “battle”.

As a matter of fact, other E-commerce companies were pretty much doing the same. For instance, Amazon commenced its new operation center in Chengdu, which is Amazon’s 4th operation center in China besides Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou. This enabled Amazon to implement delivery service for its customers in almost the whole country quickly and effectively. JD, another leading E-commerce player in China, also established its own warehouses in places like Suqian, Jiangsu, to balance the enormous logistics demand and distribution capability.

The popularity of this “E-commerce business Self-owned logistics parks” model lies in the acceleration of delivery, which covers the deficiency of contracted 3PLs.

Logistics parks are becoming the connecting point of multiple transport method, which makes it a strategically importation launch pad for the “last mile”. The customers’ confidence and satisfaction will be stronger only if professional logistics service were provided.

Taking E-commerce’s prosperity as an opportunity and further complete the logistics parks’ customized service might be the future trend of logistics parks real estate industry.
