  • China invested over $50 bn in Silk Road project: The Silk Road project, officially called the Belt and Road Initiative, has received support from over 100 countries and international organisations, with nearly 50 cooperation agreements signed between governments. Under the Silk Road initiative, China wants to improve its connectivity with the rest of the world with a maze of roads and ports to trade its goods and services. While originating in China, the initiative has delivered benefits well beyond its borders and progress under the initiative was "better than expected".
  • New Shenzhen-Minsk multimodal rail connection extends ¡°Belt and Road¡± network on May 22th, 2017. New route providing both LCL and FCL service has been managed by DHL and China Brilliant, connecting Shenzhen to Minsk, Belarus via rail in less than 12 days. The new route covers new overland connections to several major cities along China's ¡°Belt and Road¡± and is the latest route in the DHL Asia-Europe-Asia multimodal network.
