The Japan logistics delegation leaded by Port and Harbor of Tokyo Transport Collaborative Association arrived in Shenzhen recently.  Zheng Yanling, Secretary General of Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, Ma Yongzhi, Deputy Director of Transport Committee of Shenzhen Municipality and other related leaders met the delegation on the morning of Feb 21st. The two parties had intensive communications on the logistics cooperation and ports development.

Japan is one of the most developed countries of the world in the logistics field. By 2009, its logistics added value had reached 21 trillion JPY (equals to about 258.30 billion U.S. dollars), accounting for 6% of its GDF. Shenzhen is the pioneer and model city in developing the logistics industry in China and its logistics added value in 2011 achieved 110 billion RMB (equals to about 17.457 billion U.S. dollars) and caught a year rise of 14.5%, taking up 9.76% of its GDP. The meeting not only deepened the understanding of the two sides, but also promoted bilateral communication and cooperation.

During the meeting, Ma Yongzhi, the Deputy Director, introduced the China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair to the Japanese delegation by details. CILF is Top 1 logistics & transport Expo in Asia and the second in the world of the same kind, with the best quality, largest scale, highest level and most efficiency in Chinese logistics exhibition, mentioned by Ma. The 7th CILF will be held on this October and the organizing committee sincerely invites Japanese enterprises and institutes to participate the fair. The team leader of Japan logistics delegation showed great interest on CILF and expressed his warm congratulation to CILF for its success. He said, the Japanese logistics field has been concerned about CILF and lots of enterprises look forward to attending the fair.

It is learned that enterprises like K-Line, NYK Line were exhibitors of CILF2011. As Japan is an important city of CILF’s global promotion plan, the organizing committee will attend Logis-tech Tokyo 2012 in this September.
