On Oct 12-14, 2011, China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF2011), named as Top1 Logistics and Transportation Expo in Asia, was held in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center during Oct 12-14, 2011. Xu Qin, the mayor of Shenzhen said in the opening ceremony that Shenzhen is a significant logistics hub in Asia-Pacific region and Logistics industry has become its third pillar industry. The logistics added-value of the whole city has reached to 92.63 billion yuan (equals to 145.90 billion U.S. dollars), taking up 9.7% of the GDP in 2010.
Mayor Xu said: “In the 12-five program period, Shenzhen will step up its efforts to build a modern logistical service system that features multi-industry integration, IT application, strong international competiveness, low carbon development and environment potential based on its comprehensive advantages in marine, land, air and railway transport. With these, we try to build our logistics industry into modern and high-end logistics so as to build Shenzhen into a global logistics center that can allocate international resources and provide services to international businesses.”
“Over the past 6 years, China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF2011) has been improving on being professional, marketing, branding and international and become the No.2 largest international logistics and transportation fair in the world and No.1 in Asia, named as the “Top1 Logistics and Transportation Exhibition in Asia”. “The scale of CILF2011 is the largest in history”, said Mayor Xu.
CILF2011 will be more international and practical. Around 400 international enterprises from more than 30 countries like America, Germany, Italy, Netherland, Belgium and Latvia exhibited in this fair, taking up more than 35% of the whole exhibitors.
An exhibitor from Denmark MSK told us that though their booth was neither the biggest nor the most beautiful one, the effect CILF2011 brought them was obvious. They met many potential customers, which was helpful to their company.
Port of Hamburg of Germany is the old friend of CILF and among Hamburg’s 10 trade partners, China ranks as the first one. “ For CILF has caught the attention of the whole world, we have the opportunity to explore logistics business resources, to enhance cooperation and to establish coordinative relationship here, and it is why we come here”, expressed Mr. Jan Mücke, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development of Federal Republic of Germany. For logistics industry in Germany has rich development experience while China possesses a huge market and development potential, Mr. Jan Mücke hopes to build a closer and further relationship with China logistics industry through CILF in the future.
Mr Gao Hongfeng, vice minister of Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China pointed out in the opening ceremony, “ The CILF organizer makes it a larger scale, a higher lever, much more professional and with more exhibitors from wider fields this year. CILF2011 will establish a broad platform for exhibitors to present their images, to boost their brand, to explore new markets and create excellent communication opportunities for all.”
Being more and more international and professional, CILF has become a window for the domestic logistics industry to know international logistics development. During CILF2011, Institutions like China Xinhua Bookstore Association and Jiangxi Xinhua Publishing Group declared launching the national logistics service hotline “ALL IN ONE NET” in Xinhua Bookstore. Wang Junguo, president of China Xinhua Bookstore Association told “The reason we choose to launch the “ALL IN ONE NET” hotline and the official opening ceremony of releasing the website in CILF2011 is that we hope to know the new international logistics trend, broaden our horizon and get more logistics knowledge through it.”
A great number of excellent logistics enterprises gather in Shenzhen. Nearly 1000 procurement enterprises like BYD, FOXCNN, ZTE, TENCENT, SIEMENTS, LENOVO, SAMSUNG, MIDEA Group, GREE, Coca-Cola, Wal-mart had participated in the procurement meetings, which received high praise from exhibitors and buyers.
